Phra Ruang is an amulet that is highly revered in Thai Buddhist culture. It is named after King Ramkhamhaeng the Great, who ruled the Sukhothai Kingdom in Thailand from 1279 to 1298. The Phra Ruang amulet is believed to bring good luck, protection, and prosperity to its wearer. It is also said to have the power to ward off evil spirits and negative energy. The amulet typically depicts the image of King Ramkhamhaeng the Great seated on his throne, wearing a royal headdress and holding a scepter in his hand. In addition to its spiritual significance, the Phra Ruang amulet is also valued for its historical and cultural significance. King Ramkhamhaeng the Great is credited with inventing the Thai alphabet and laying the foundations of Thai literature, law, and administration. He is revered as a symbol of Thai identity and national pride. The Phra Ruang amulet is commonly worn as a pendant on a necklace or as a charm on a bracelet.

It is often given as a gift to loved ones or as a token of appreciation to religious leaders and spiritual mentors. It is also commonly placed in homes, cars, and other places to bring good luck and protection.

Some Amulets are competition winners, where only authentic real original amulets are allowed to enter. The competition are organised by amulet clubs, associations and governmental bodies.

The contest is based on multiple aspects of the amulet especially aesthetically, these does not give more power to the amulets, but enhances the collection value. Amulets with Authenticity Card and Competition Certificate usually cost slightly more, as it provides additional assurance of the real amulet, preventing fakes. Those without Certificate or card, are guaranteed by 33amulets for it's authenticity.
