This is the famous Phra Rod (??????), discovered from the Kru Mahawan (??????) stupa in Lamphun Province, one of Thailand's most revered and ancient amulets.

Believed to have been created during the Hariphunchai period circa 13th-14th century B. / 8th-9th century CE, it is considered one of the "Benjapakee" - the Five Grand Amulets of Thailand. The amulet depicts the Buddha seated in meditation (subduing Mara posture), surrounded by an arched frame of intricate lotus motifs.) often shows traces of ancient soil and mineral inclusions, indicating its sacred origin from the Mahawan temple grounds. Phra Rod amulets are highly respected for their miraculous protective power, especially from accidents and dangers, as well as granting longevity, good fortune, and safety to the wearer.
