Worthy of preservation, very difficult to find. Dvaravati Buddha statues in the Suvarnabhumi region Dvaravati is the name that foreign historians first started using to refer to ancient communities located in the lower part of the Chao Phraya River basin. They searched from Chinese travelogues recorded in the 12th Buddhist century that there was a kingdom called Polopoti located between the Sri Ksetra Kingdom (in the Union of Myanmar) and the Isanapura Kingdom (Cambodia), which was compared to the word Dvaravati, which was used as a name for the capital city of Thailand, such as Bangkok, Dvaravati, Sri Ayutthaya, etc.

Professor Georges Coedes, a French scholar, used the name Dvaravati to refer to the art groups found in Nakhon Pathom, Lopburi, Ratchaburi, and Prachin Buri provinces, which showed the influence of Indian art in the Gupta style. He determined the age of Dvaravati art in the Chao Phraya River basin to be between the 11th and 16th Buddhist centuries, and Dvaravati art found in Hariphunchai in the north was dated to the 18th Buddhist century.
