THE FIRST GENERATION PHRA SOMDEJ LP TOH WAT RAKANG THAI AMULETS. The first generation of Phra Somdej, Wat Rakang was produced from around 1866 to 1871 by Somdej Toh of Wat Rakhang Khositaram.

Phra Somdej was created in an image of Lord Buddha meditation. They were made to explain the Dharma of Buddha and to bless every life in this world for good karma. Their compositions contained both inorganic and organic materials such as shell lime, assorted flowers, pebbles red and black, old Sangkhalok Bowl, Sacred Powder, Herb, Wan, Clay, Dry flowers, and Mortarashes from incense urns, etc. Various molds were different in both types and compositions. In this work, it was the first time on advanced structural analysis using non-destructive x-ray fluorescence spectrometry methods; particle-induced x-ray emission.
Samples were selected by various molds to analyze their composition. Results revealed the presence of Ca, Al, K, Si, and others such as Fe, Cu, Mn, and Zn. It was also found that there were differences in concentration of composition. It can be concluded that their matrices were heterogeneous.
Each mold may be characterized using the differences in its composition because Phra Somdej amulets were handmade by Somdej Phra Phuttha Jarn Toh Prommarangsri. Phra Somdej is the "Emperor" of all Buddha amulets Perfect protection, Supreme Rich, Great love mercy, success for everything, Prevent all dark magic, and life protection for the owner. Phra Somdej amulets are a valuable treasure that everyone wants to own.But very few people will possess it because the merit is not reachable. The sanctity of Phra Somdet is complete in every aspect, and most importantly, Phra Somdet chooses the owner. It's not the owner's chooses Phra Somdej. Those who will possess Phra Somdej must have merit only.
